Remarks

The type species Bavirecta flavopuncta gen. et sp. nov. and B. exilis gen. et comb. nov. are very similar to each other in somatic as well as genital morphology. Both species differ considerably in genital structures from the type species of Bavia, B. aericeps (see discussion below). Bavirecta exilis gen. et comb. nov. shares the presence of a short, straight embolus and the broad PLT with Bavia aericeps, B. capistrata and B. intermedia . However, it differs from them by the relatively long RTA and the well-developed retrolateral membranous margin of the embolus.
