Catopta kendevanensis Daniel, 1937, Mitt. Münch. Ent. Ges. 27: 50.

LT: Persia S, Elburs mts. C., Kendevan pass. [pass Kendevan, Elburs Mts. Range, Iran]. Type material (holotype) in ZSM .

Distribution. Iran, Afghanistan (Schwingenschuss 1939b; Yakovlev 2009d).

Remarks. This species is currently included of two subspecies, Catopta kendevanensis kendevanensis Daniel, 1937 and C. kendevanensis anjumanica Daniel, 1964 (Yakovlev 2011a) . The latter one was described from Afghanistan distributing in the south-eastern and central parts of the country (Daniel, 1964b; Yakovlev 2009d). According to Schwingenschuss (1939b) and Yakovlev (2009d), nominal subspecies is distributed in the central and northern parts of Iran. However, among the examined material there were two specimens collected in the south of Iran, Hormozgan Province.
