Material examined. HMIM: West Âzarbâijân Prov.: 3 ♂♂, 15 km NE Mâku, 6.vi.1975, leg. Abâi (gen. prep. No. HA-2413, HMIM) .
Distribution. Armenia ( Yakovlev 2011a).
Distribution in Iran. NW Iran (Fig. 33F).
Remark. The subspecies E. vaulogeri erebuni was described by Yakovlev (2008a) based on two female specimens collected in Armenia and then raised to E. erebuni by Yakovlev (2019) after discovering a single male specimen from Armenia (Karaglukh). This species is similar to E. vaulogeri and in addition to the differences between these two species stated by Yakovlev (2019), we found some other differences in pecten processes of the antennae and male genitalia. In E. erebuni, the paired processes of each anntennal segment are interconnected (Fig. 20A); while in the E. vaulogeri they are only joined basally (Fig. 20B). In both species few proximal and distal antennal segments are nearly the same. Considering the male genitalia, lateral processes of juxta are triangular and more or less finger-shaped anteriorly in E. erebuni (Fig. 20C) compared to being spherical in E. vaulogeri (Fig. 20E). Moreover, transtilla armes in E. erebuni are stouter than in E. vaulogeri with deeply dentate upper surface (Figs. 20C, E) and the distal membranous part of valva is shorter than that of E. vaulogeri .
This speces is newly reported for the fauna of Iran.
