Note: The species was described according to three specimens collected in the ant nest of the genus Pheidole Westwood, 1839 ( Hymenoptera: Formicidae) from Bunso in adjacent Ghana and assigned to the genus Fustigerodes Reitter, 1884 . Fustigerodes is an endemic genus to Madagascar with three described species. The species is here transferred to the genus Fustigerinus Wasmann, 1912, which has already seven species known from Congo, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Ghana, and Guinea. New genus and species for Ivory Coast.
