Anancistrogera or Aphanogryllacris

(Stenopelmatoidea: Gryllacrididae: Gryllacridinae)

Material examined. 1 female (Siargao18_10), Barangay Katipunan, Del Carmen, N9.87604, E126.00919, 28.9± 4.9 m, 7 April 2018, 2006 hours; 1 male (Siargao18_82), Barangay Katipunan, Del Carmen, N9.87714, E126.00665, 13.4± 8.9 m, 17 October 2018, 1915 hours, on Rhizophora leaf.

Two species were collected, a male and a female with distinct colour pattern differences. Both genera are very similar in habitus and a revision is needed to better differentiate the two genera and their species (Ingrisch, 2018). One of the species (Fig. 3) was collected from the mangrove plant ( Rhizophora sp.), suggesting that this species may be associated with the mangrove.
