Material examined: Holotype: shell 3.1 mm high and 2.2 mm broad (ZMH 140797) . Paratypes: 2 specimens from type locality (in isopropanol, ZMH 140798), 2 specimens in coll. Glöer, 1 specimen in coll. Porfyris.

Type locality: Mitáta, Kythira Island, Greece (36.2450°N, 22.9963°E, spring very close to Mitáta village) .

Etymology: Named after the type locality.

Description: The corneous conical shell has 5-5.5 convex, slightly stepped whorls, separated by a deep suture. The body whorl is prominent and takes 0.75-0.77 of shell height. The aperture is ovate with a sharp peristome. The umbilicus is slit-like to closed. The shell is 2.6-3.1 mm high and 2.1-2.2 mm broad. Juveniles are more globular.

Differentiating characters: The new species differs from the lectotype of Pseudamnicola exilis, in shell height and relative height of the spire. This relation of height of body whorl to shell height is in P. magdalenae 0.83-0.86 vs. 0.75-0.81 in P. mitataensis n. sp.

Distribution: Greece; only known from the type locality.
