Specimens examined. Lectotype and 8 paralectotypes (by present designation), USA, Idaho, Woodruff, in litter, 10 November 1955, G. F. Knowlton, coll. Additional material: seven specimens, USA, Wyoming, Bridger-Teton National Forest near Moran (Moran Junction), Douglas-fir ( Pseudotsuga menziesii) and lodgepole pine ( Pinus contorta) litter, June 1989, C. D. Pless, coll.

Remarks. The redescription of S. idahoensis by Fjellberg (1991), based on specimens collected in Alberta, Canada, closely fits Wray’s type specimens and those collected more recently in Wyoming.
