Genus Platfusa Dworakowska, 1993

Remarks. According to the description of Dworakowska, the genus Platfusa has body proportions resembling those of Aruena Anufriev and wing venation as in Igutettix Matsumura (Dworakowska 1993). Through specimen observation, we found that the face of Aruena is slightly concave, while the face of Igutettix is prominent. Ohara and Hayashi (2022) also observed that specimens of Igutettix had the frontoclypeus swollen and the antennal ledge developed. In this regard, the three genera are completely different. The main characters distinguishing Platfusa are the slightly convex face, pygofer with dorsal appendage and macroseta at or near base of appendage, subgenital plates fused to each other (except in P. semena sp. nov.), petal-shaped and partly enclosing pygofer.

Type species: Platfusa arooni Dworakowska, 1993 (type locality: India).

Distribution. China (Yunnan), Thailand.
