Distribution: Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia.

Material examined ( A. hyemala repressa Warncke): ISRAEL: Nir Am, 14.iii.19??, H. Bytinski-Salz (1♂) (SMNHTAU) .

Remarks. Israeli specimens identified by Warncke as A. graecella (Warncke 1969) actually belong to A. hyemala repressa Warncke, which he described six years later (Warncke 1975). Andrena graecella is limited to southeastern Europe. This error derives from a period of time (1965–1973) during which Warncke used the name A. graecella for what was actually the undescribed A. hyemala Warncke, see discussion in Gusenleitner & Schwarz (2002).
