Generitype of Onoclea Linnaeus.

Current name: Onoclea sensibilise L. ( Onocleaceae).

Note: Although both Copeland (in Univ. Calif. Publ. Bot. 16: 55. 1929) and Reveal & al. (in Huntia 7: 223. 1987) designated Herb. Linn. 1242.1 (LINN) as lectotype (also accepted in Jarvis & al. (Regnum Veg. 127: 71. 1993)), the material appears to be a post-1753 addition to the collection and not original material for the name. As original material exists, this choice cannot be interpreted as a neotypification.
