Lectotype (Trimen, Handb. Fl. Ceylon 2: 317. 1894; Biju & al. in Rheedea 2: 11, f. 1A. 1992): Herb. Hermann 3: 19, No. 68 (BM-000594661) .

Current name: Hedyotis biflora (L.) Lam. ( Rubiaceae).

Note: Biju & al. provided a detailed consideration of the original elements, together with an image (f. 1A) of the type. The Hermann collections consist of two specimens on a single page, but Biju & al. illustrate only the smaller of the two, referring to it as “type” . This is accepted as a restriction of Trimen’s original designation (Art. 9.15).
