Setarches parmatus, Goode, Proc. U. S. Nat. Mus., III. pp. 480, 481, Feb. 16, 1881.

Two specimens, respectively 53 mm. and 52 mm. long, were taken at Station 327, Lat. 34° O' 30", Long. 76° 10' 30", at a depth of 178 fathoms. These specimens and the type of the species are the only three examples known.
