Pheidole kohli Mayr HNS, variety
A single imperfect soldier and five females, three of them winged, taken from the stomachs of a toad (Bufo regularis) and a frog (Rana ornatissima,) from Garamba (Lang and Chapin), appear to represent an undescribed variety or subspecies of kohli HNS, the soldier being darker and having a distinctly narrower head. The pedicel, gaster and funiculi are, however, lacking in the single specimen of the soldier. It seems to be undesirable to base a new name on such defective material.
