Figs 7, 11, 13, 40–43, 46

Mago longidens Simon, 1900: 57 (Male holotype from Tefé [3.39°S 64.65°W], Amazonas, Brazil, E. Simon, deposited in MNHN 1949, examined); Simon, 1901: 419, fig. 473; Caporiacco, 1954: 160, figs 54, 54a; Galiano, 1963: 389, pl. XXVI, figs 1–5; Platnick, 2014.

Diagnosis. Within the acutidens group, M. longidens Simon differs from all the other species by having only a rectangular median projection on the prolateral side of the embolus (Fig. 40). Females seem to have copulation openings smaller than those of M. acutidens Simon and M. jurutiensis sp. nov., but larger than those of the remaining species (Fig. 42).

Description. Male. See Galiano (1963: 389, pl. XXVI, figs 1–5).

Note. The prolateral median projection on the embolus of the holotype of M. longidens (Fig. 40) seems to have been ignored in the redescription (see Galiano, 1963, pl. XXVI, fig. 3).
