Record numbers (Sea/Ocean classification): Coral Sea: 1, Indian Ocean: 1; total: 2.

Remarks: This species was described from the Coral Sea in the shallow subtidal zone, but more recently from the Indian Ocean from quite deep in the subtidal zone. We think that the presence of this species in the Indian Ocean needs confirmation.
