• 49°31′S, 69°54′E; 0.5–2.1 m bsl: [FAO58] Type locality: Kerguelen Islands, Longue Island, Port-Bizet, rocky coastline, mediolittoral, on algae (Poryphyra sp.) associated with green algae ( Ulothrix sp.). Bellido & Bertrand (1981)

Remarks: This species is known only from the type locality and it is probably closely related to E. horningi, E. s. porphyrae and E. s. verrucariae, which are also known from the sub-Antarctic and similar habitats.
