Atlantic Ocean:
• 58 ° 01′N, 0 5 ° 24′W: 16 m bsl: Type Locality: [FAO27] UK, Scotland, Highland County, Summer Isles, SE shore of Tanera Mòr, the anchorage near salmon cages, sand. Morgan & O'Reilly (1988)
Black Sea:
• 44°37′N, 33°32′E; 2–17 m bsl: [FAO37] Ukraine / Russia, Crimean Peninsula, Sevastopol bays, interstitial, medium and fine sand with fragments of algae. Kharkevych (2013a)

Remarks: This species was described from the Inner Seas off the West Coast of Scotland (Atlantic) and just recently reported from the Black Sea. It is a subtidal species collected from sand.
