Material. Solomon Islands: 1Ƥ (MNHN-IU-2007-4738), station CP2241, 6°55.3’S 156°21.2’E, XI 2004, depth 815–1000 m, Solomon Island, south Taylor reefs. Bouchet, Warén & Samedi-IRD coll.

Remarks. This is only the third record of Bathypallenopsis richeri, previous records being from Fiji (typelocality) and Vanuatu (Stock, 1997, as Pallenopsis (B.) oculotuberculosis), in a depth range of 1058–1191 m. The present record is from slightly shallower water.
