- Tall, erect to ascending. Leaves resembling those of C. urbicum (10) but blade densely farinose, bluish below. Inflorescences spike-like, leafy, branches short.
S Sk Lackalänga 1929, 1931 (wool refuse). - S South America; naturalized in Mexico and California. The Nordic material belongs to subsp. salsum (Phil.) A. Tronc. ( subsp. halophilum (Phil.) Aellen).
