Clistopyga polita Bordera & Palacio, sp. nov.
(Figs 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, 8 A–F)
Diagnosis. Clistopyga polita sp. nov. may be distinguished from all other species of the C. eldae species group by the combination of the following characters: face smooth and shiny with very inconspicuous fine and scattered punctures (Fig. 8B); occipital carina weak but complete (Fig. 8A); submetapleural carina strong but only present at anterior 0.3 of length of metapleuron (Fig. 4D); hind wing with distal abscissa of Cu 1 weakly pigmented, joining cu -a + Cu 1 clearly below centre (Fig. 3D); tergite I 2.22× as long as posteriorly broad, smooth and shiny, with scattered setiferous punctures (Fig. 2D); ovipositor weakly up-curved at apical 0.3–0.4 (Fig. 8E), about same length as hind tibia; ovipositor sheath 0.78–0.8× as long as hind tibia; gena almost entirely dark brown to black, except small yellow-orange mark just behind base of mandible (Fig. 8A)
Description. Female: Body length about 8.8 mm (without ovipositor). Fore wing length about 6.2 mm.
Head (Figs 8 A–D). In dorsal view, moderately narrowed behind eyes. Gena smooth and shiny with uniformly sparse setiferous punctures, in dorsal view almost straight, 0.44× as long as eye (Fig. 8C), in frontal view almost straight and moderately constricted below eyes (Fig. 8B). Frons smooth and shiny. Vertex smooth and shiny, with very isolated setiferous punctures. Posterior ocellus separated from eye about once its maximum diameter. Distance between hind ocelli about 0.77× maximum diameter of posterior ocellus. Occipital carina weak but complete (Fig. 8A). Face smooth and shiny with very isolated setiferous punctures (Fig. 8B). Clypeal suture slightly curved (Fig. (B). Clypeus about 1.67× as broad as medially long, distinctly convex in dorsal half, slightly concave in ventral half, apical margin weakly bilobed. Malar space 0.3× as long as basal mandibular width, with a short granulate stripe between eye and mandible. Antenna with 30 flagellomeres (left antenna missing from fourth flagellomere), first flagellomere about 10× as long as wide
Mesosoma (Figs 1D, 3D, 4D, 8C, D). Pronotum smooth and shiny. Epomia absent (Fig. 8D). Mesoscutum smooth and shiny, almost glabrous (Fig. 8C, D). Notauli weak, reaching about 0.5 of length of mesoscutum. Mesopleuron shiny, with moderately sparse setiferous punctures, except in posterior part under speculum. Epicnemial carina weak, its dorsal end straight, reaching level of centre of pronotum (Fig. 8D). Metapleuron shiny, glabrous, except for some sparse setiferous punctures at posterior part, about 1.97× as long as deep. Submetapleural carina strong but only present at basal 0.3 of length of metapleuron (Fig. 4D, arrow). Propodeum smooth and shiny, with sparse and fine setiferous punctures laterally; in dorsal view about 1.2× as long as medially wide. Propodeal spiracle contiguous with groove separating propodeum and metapleuron, groove partially interrupted by spiracle. Hind leg with femur 4.74× as long as deep, 0.9× as long as tibia. Fore wing with vein cu-a opposite Rs & M. Vein 2 rs-m about 0.5× as long as abscissa of M between 2 rs-m and 2 m-cu. Abscissa of Cu 1 between 1 m-cu and Cu 1 a about 1.15× as long as Cu 1 b. Hind wing with vein cu-a about 0.42× as long as abscissa of Cu 1 between M and cu-a. Vein cu-a + first abscissa of Cu 1 reclivous (Fig. 3D). Distal abscissa of Cu 1 well pigmented.
Metasoma (Figs 1D, 2D, 8E, F). Tergite I 2.22× as long as posteriorly broad, smooth and shiny, with fine and sparse setiferous punctures laterally (Fig. 2D); spiracle near its basal 0.45; lateromedian longitudinal carinae strong, reaching about 0.25 of length of tergite; lateral longitudinal carinae strong, reaching spiracle. Sternite I extending backs about 0.8 of length of tergite (Fig. 8E). Tergite II 1.36× as long as posteriorly broad, central region shiny, with moderately dense weak and wide punctures (Fig. 2D); rest of tergites shiny, progressively more densely and strongly punctate (Fig. 8F). Ovipositor slender, matt, weakly upcurved at apical 0.3 (Fig. 8E), about same length as hind tibia. Ovipositor sheath about 0.78× as long as hind tibia, length of setae on average about 1.43× the sheath basal width.
Colouration (Fig. 1D, 8 A–F). Head black, clypeus, face, frontal and vertical orbits, mouth parts except apex of mandibles, malar space and ventral part of gena, white (face partially decoloured probably by internal decomposition); central part of face brownish; antenna with scape and pedicel dark brown dorsally, whitish at ventral side, flagellomeres brown. Mesosoma orange; posterior dorsal part of propodeum brown, posterior rim of propodeum black. Metasoma mostly dark brown, anterolateral marks of tergites II–V somewhat extending back; anterior band on tergites III–V and posterior rim of tergites I–VII whitish. Fore and mid legs predominantly light brown; fore leg with coxa and trochanter white; mid leg with coxa white, base of trochanter and basal dorsal short stripe on femur brown, tarsi infuscate; hind leg mostly white, with anterior wide mark on coxa, basal part of trochanter, basal part, dorsal narrow stripe and anterior wide longitudinal stripe on femur, tibia except mid part, and all tarsi, brown. Wings hyaline, pterostigma dark brown. Ovipositor sheaths, dark brown. Ovipositor brown.
