Distribution in Iran. Bushehr, Khuzestan, Markazi (Linnavuori 2009), Fars (Ostovan & Arefnia 2011; Linnavuori 2009), Golestan (Hoberlandt 1959), Hormozgan (Linnavuori 2004), Khorasan (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998), Markazi (Vafaei 2005), Sistan & Baluchestan (Seidenstücker 1957), Iran (no locality cited) (Aukema & Rieger 1995; Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000; Linnavuori et al. 2011).

General distribution. North Africa, Near East, Central Asia, Arabic peninsula, Indian subcontinent, Ethiopian Africa (Jansson 1995; Fent et al. 2011).

Comments. Among Phragmites sp. ( Poaceae) (Linnavuori 2009).
