SYNTYPE ♂: blue-margined syntype disc; red-margined type disc; “Ranchi [capital of the recently founded Indian state of Jharkhand, a state situated in an area which was, at the time Distant described the species, part of what was then known as the Bengal Presidency]; Irvine.”; “ parva Dist. [Distant’s handwriting]”; “Distant Coll. 1911–383.”; “NHMUK 010592179”. Carded specimen. Second to fifth left antennomeres, and legs (except the left middle one) missing (Fig. 145) .

SYNTYPE ♂: blue-margined syntype disc; “Bangalore [also Bengaluru, Karnataka. Karnataka was originally known as the state of Mysore and was renamed in 1973] Cameron.”; “Distant Coll. 1911–383.”; “NHMUK 010592299”. Fourth and fifth left antennomeres, and right anterior leg missing (Fig. 146) .

Current status: Eocanthecona parva (Distant, 1902) (see Thomas 1994: 177).

Note: Thomas (1994: 177) did not mention any type in the material he examined.
