Nilakantha Peckham & Peckham, 1901 (May, 7th, against Bryant, 1950): 8 (type species by monotypy: Nilakantha cockerelli Peckham & Peckham, 1901); considered a junior synonym of Thiodina by Bryant, 1950: 202.

Diagnosis. Among the amycoids with bulbous sensory setae, Nilakantha can be distinguished by the prolateral apophysis on the male palpal tibia. From Colonus, it also differs in smaller size and markings (see comments under Diagnosis of Colonus); from the other genera it differs in the high carapace.
