Chrysis ignita (Linnaeus, 1758)
Sphex ignita Linnaeus, 1758: 571 . Lectotype ♀ designated by Richards 1935: 159; Europe (Linnean Society, London). Chrysis ignata (!): Thakkar & Parikh 2018: 23 (cat., Gujarat).
Distribution. India (Gujarat). West-Palaearctic: from West Europe to central Asia (Linsenmaier 1997). Linsenmaier (1968) reported one specimen from Pakistan (Chillagh Hills).
Remarks. Thakkar & Parikh (2018) identification should be considered as sensu latu, being Chrysis ignita the most complicated taxonomical species group, including more than 100 species, sometimes impossible to identify without molecular analyses (Paukkunen et al. 2015). The occurrence in India should be confirmed.
