Genus Hercostomus Loew, 1857

Notes. Grichanov (2020b) provided a key for the 23 Afrotropical species of Hercostomus known at that time. More recently a new species of the genus was described from the Tanzanian Tanganyika Lake shore (Grichanov 2022).
