Holotypus: IRAN: “Aderbidjan”, s.d., Aucher-Eloy 4169 M (G-BOIS [G00332566]; iso-: BM [BM001172146]) .

Note. – Although described from Azerbaijan in Iran, this taxon was not accounted for in Flora Iranica (HEDGE, 1968). However, THELLUNG (1906b: 168) reduced it to synonymy of the highly heterogenous L. lyratum L. in which he included the very distinctive L. persicum .
