Equulites klunzingeri (Steindachner, 1898)

Material examined. SMF 35028 (5: 8.2–9.0 cm); SMF 35029 (4: 8.2–10.3 cm); KAUMM 79 (5: 7.4–8.3 cm); KAUMM 80 (6: 7.6–8.6 cm).

Remarks. Previously known as endemic to the Gulf of Suez and immigrant to the Mediterranean Sea via Suez Canal (Dor 1984); the record off Jizan extends its known distribution in the Red Sea, and the species was also recently reported from the Gulf of Oman (Jawad et al. 2012).
