Family HYDROPSYCHIDAE Curtis 1835

Hydropsychidae appears to be a relatively well-diversified group in Algeria. Genera and species occupy a wide range of habitats from brooks to large rivers (Illies 1953). Three genera of this family are present in El Harrach Wadi: Cheumatopsyche Wallengren 1891, Diplectrona Westwood 1839, and Hydropsyche F.J. Pictet 1834 .
