Type locality:— NEW ZEALAND. South Island, Collingwood. Type: [icon] Buchanan (1885: Plate XV) (lectotype designated here).

Notes:— No type specimens were mentioned in the protologue, and herbarium specimens that could be interpreted as types have not been found. Therefore, the illustration accompanying the original description is selected as lectotype.
