Type locality: Spain, Andalusia, Chiclana.

Type specimens: Holotype 3 [without abdomen], 26.ii.1857 or 1858, leg. O. Staudinger, in ZMHB.

Host plant (s): Cistus monspeliensis L. (Stainton 1869: 227), C. salviaefolius L (Lhomme 1946 –1963: 869), Cistus ×ledon Lam. and C. ladaniferus Stokes (Zerkowitz, 1946: 125) (Cistaceae) .
