Figures 3–4

Description. Male. Body large. Head. Face smooth (Fig. 3A). Dorsal surface of fastigium verticis with a longitudinal furrow along the midline, apices which divide fastigium verticis into 2 distinct rostral tubercles with the apical area separated from each other (Fig. 3B). Eyes ovoid, protruding forward; lateral ocelli large, nearly occupying all the lateral margins of rostral tubercles; median ocellus slightly smaller than lateral ocelli, nearly oval (Fig. 3A–B). Apical segments of maxillary palpi longer than subapical ones, apices slightly inflated. Thorax. Anterior margin of pronotum slightly concave, posterior margin protruding backward and widely rounded (Fig. 3C); lateral lobes longer than high, ventral margin undulate and slightly rolled. Posterior margin of mesonotum protruding backward, posterior margin of metanotum faintly protruding. Fore coxae convex with 1 stout spine; femora with 1 short apical spine; tibiae with 1 internal and 2 external spines ventrally, apices with 1 pair of spines on ventral surface. Middle femora with 1 pair of apical spines; tibiae dorsally with 2 pairs of spines, ventral surface with 2 external spines, apices with 1 pair of spines on dorsal and ventral surfaces separately. Hind femora with 1 short ventral spine on internal margin (Fig. 3E); tibiae dorsally with 18 internal spines, 18–19 external spines and 1 pair of small subapical spines, apices with 1 pair of dorsal and 2 pairs of ventral spines; basitarsi with 5 small spines and 1 large apical spine on dorsal surface along the midline (Fig. 3G). Abdomen. Apex of abdomen curved downwards. Posterior margin of fourth abdominal tergite faintly projecting in middle; posterior margin of fifth abdominal tergite subtriangular projecting in middle, apical margin narrowly rounded; posterior margin of sixth abdominal tergite with 1 large semielliptical median lobe, its longer and wider than the process of the preceding tergite; tenth abdominal tergite slightly prolonged with apical margin faintly concave in middle (Fig. 3M, H). Epiproct longer than wide in apical view, dorsal surface furrowed along the midline (Fig. 3M); lateral margins converging, apical margin rounded (Fig. 3M). Cerci slender, conical, apices acute. Basal margin of subgenital plate straight, posterior margin arched (Fig. 3L); lateral margins with basal half convex and then narrowing after middle. Styli roughly cylindrical, depressed, inserted on ventral surface of the plate at apical area, apices obtuse (Fig. 3L). Genitalia entirely membranous.

Female. Abdomen. Posterior margin of fourth abdominal tergite faintly projecting; posterior margin of fifth abdominal tergite triangular projecting in middle; sixth abdominal tergite with longer and wider posteromedian process; posterior margin of seventh abdominal tergite with a widely triangular process (Fig. 4I). Epiproct ligulate, dorsal surface concave with median furrow, posterior margin narrowly obtuse (Fig. 4J). Cerci slender. Basal third of subgenital plate transverse, triangularly narrowing posteriorly and terminating into a spiniform apical area; basal area about as long as apical area (Fig. 4M). Ovipositor moderately upcurved behind base, apices acute; dorsal valvulae smooth, apical areas of ventral valvulae serrate on ventral margins (Fig. 4L).

Coloration. Body brown. Face with large black spots. Eyes black. Ocelli pale yellow.

Material examined. Holotype: male, Jianling, Wanning, Hainan, May 11, 2024, coll. by Yanting Qin and Ting Luo . Paratypes: 2 males, the other information as holotype; 1 female, Jianling, Wanning, May 16, 2024, coll. by Ting Luo, Yanting Qin and Yizhen Yao. Other specimens: 2 male nymphs and 3 female nymphs, the other information as holotype .

Distribution. Hainan (Wanning).

Discussion. The new species differs from Sinorhaphidophora hainanensis (Bian & Shi, 2016) by: the processes of male fifth and sixth abdominal tergites narrower and longer with posterior margin narrowly rounded (Fig. 3H); male epiproct ligulate, longer than wide, posterior margin rounded (Fig. 3M).

Etymology. The new species is named for the narrower processes of male fifth and sixth abdominal tergites.
