Medetera petrophiloides Parent, 1925
Distribution. Western Palaearctic species, widespread in Europe, from Ireland to European Russia.
Status in CZ. Previously recorded only from southern Moravia: Valtice (Olejníček & Barták 1997) and six localities within Podyjí National Park (Havraníky, Nad Šobesem, Vraní skála, Hardegg vyhlídka, Liščí skála and Fládnická chata) (Olejníček et al. 2005).
There are only four specimens corresponding with the above mentioned records deposited in NMPC (all males, examined); the single male from Valtice (22.vi.1977, J. Olejníček lgt.) belongs to M. tenuicauda and three males from Podyjí (Havraníky, Fládnická chata) to M. jacula and M. truncorum . No additional specimens from Podyjí were found in CZUP. The occurrence of M. petrophiloides in the Czech Republic is not unlikely (see also distribution), however, it is at present not supported by confirmed identifications.
