Material examined. Bohemia: Horšovský Týn (4343), castle garden, 49°31′N 12°56′E, 380–440 m, Pinus, 7.vii.2020, 3 ♁♁ (MCH) ; ditto, 25.viii.2021, 1 ♁ (MCH) . Čepice (6747), Chanovec Mt. top env., 49°16′27″N 13°36′00″E, 550 m, Fagus, 27.vii.2020, 2 ♀♀ (MCH) .
Distribution. France, Germany, Great Britain (Negrobov & Naglis 2016), Sweden (Persson et al. 2019) and Czech Republic (Olejníček et al. 2005).
Status in CZ. Previously recorded only from Zadní Hamry in Podyjí National Park (Olejníček et al. 2005) and there are two male specimens from the same locality deposited in NMPC that were correctly identified (cf. remark under M. flavipes by Pollet & Suvák 2009). The first records from Bohemia are given herein.
Ecology. At Horšovský Týn, the specimens were collected from trunks of dead pine trees in a semi-shaded predominantly deciduous forest site ( Quercus, Tilia, Acer). The other capture locality (Čepice) is a limestone hilltop with sparse mixed forest ( Fagus, Pinus).
