Material examined. Bohemia: Duchcov (5348), 50°36′30″N 13°43′30″E, 220 m, floodplain forest, MT, 24.viii.– 23.ix.1998, M. Barták lgt., 1 ♁ (NMPC) . Druztová, 2 km SW (6246), rocky SW slopes above Berounka river, 49°46′33″N 13°26′09″E, ca 330 m, swept from ground/stones, 2.viii.2021, 2 ♁♁ 7 ♀♀ (MCH) .
Distribution. France, Kazakhstan, Russia (eastern Siberia), Switzerland (Negrobov & Naglis 2016) and Czech Republic (present paper).
Status in CZ. The first records are given herein.
Ecology. It is very likely that M. kerzhneri is a soil-dwelling species like related species; e.g., M. micacea Loew, 1857 and M. mixta Negrobov, 1967 .
Remarks. This species is very closely related to M. mixta from which only males can be separated by the much shorter and thinner epandrial setae.
