Remarks: Wheeler and Forrest (2002) redescribed and illustrated this species based on specimens from Jamaica. The Central American specimens examined in this study do not differ in morphological characters from the Jamaican specimens. The type locality is San José, Costa Rica (Adams 1908) but the holotype was lost several years ago (Wheeler and Forrest 2002).
