Gallardoneris gen. nov.

Type species. Lumbrineris shinoii Gallardo, 1968

Etymology. This genus is named in honor of Victor A. Gallardo in recognition of his work with lumbrinerids.

Diagnosis. Prostomium without antennae, without eyes; notopodia slightly developed; without branchiae; composite and simple multidentate hooded hooks present; pygidium with anal cirri; maxillary apparatus with four pairs of maxillae, carriers as long as MI, joined to entire base of MI; MI forceps-like without internal accessory teeth, wide base, without attachment lamella; MII as long as MI, with ligament, without attachment lamella; without connecting plates; MIII completely pigmented, attachment lamella narrow along 1/4 of the posterior lateral edge; MIV with whitish central area, attachment lamella narrow. Mandible fused.
