Spongia cerebriformis f. insolita Wiedenmayer, 1977: 58, pl. IV figs. 1-2.

This forma was described by Wiedenmayer from the Bimini Lagoon, Bahamas. As an infrasubspecific taxon, it is not available (ICZN art. 45.6.3). Van Soest (1978) suggested that it concerned misidentified specimens of Hyattella intestinalis sensu Van Soest, 1978, currently Hyattella cavernosa (Pallas, 1776) .
