Platyptilia rubriacuta Gielis, 2009: 229 . (Type locality: Haut-Katanga, Congo).

Material examined: 1 ♂ Monkey Bay, 0 3.01.2009, 1 ♂ 16.12. 2010; 1 ♂ Mpatamanga, 26.12.2008, Kovtunovich V. & Ustjuzhanin P.

Distribution: Congo, Malawi.

Notes. By the structure of genitalia this species is closer to the genus Marasmarcha than Platyptilia . New for Malawi.
