Notes. During a comparison of the types of Exelastis crudipennis (Meyrick, 1932) and Exelastis bergeri Bigot, 1969 their conspecificity was found. Although C. Gielis (2011) synonymized Exelastis bergeri with Exelastis tenax (Meyrick, 1913), this is questionable. Moreover, Exelastis tenax has already been synonymized with Exelastis pumilio (Zeller, 1873) (Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich 2010) . New for Malawi.
