Nealcidion latipenne was described based on syntypes from Brazil (Amazonas, Pará). Currently, it is known from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Ceará, Sergipe) (Monné 2022; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2022).
Material examined. BOLIVIA (new country record), El Beni: 15–20 km east Rurrenabaque, 1 male, 13– 18.X.2004, Morris & Wappes leg. (RFMC) . Santa Cruz: Santa Cruz de la Sierra, 450 m, 1 male, J. Steinbach leg. (MZSP) . BRAZIL, Pará: Óbidos, 1 male, XII.1959, no collector indicated, formerly Diringshofen collection (MZSP) . Additionally, we examined a male from the United States Virgin Islands, Saint Thomas Island, La Belle (MZSP) . However, it is not possible to be sure if the specimen is correctly labeled. Therefore, we are not formalizing the new record .
