Amnestus carinatus Mayorga and Cervantes, 2005, 167–168
Diagnosis. Juga with five pegs; anterior half of head without punctures; prosternal carina elevated with a small groove on ventral margin, lateral margins of pronotum widely explanate. Body length 3.3 to 3.7 mm.
Description. Head. Anterior half smooth; tylus longer than juga; rostrum short reaching mesosternum. Pronotum. Anterior half slightly elevated, anterior and posterior borders concave, anterolateral margins strongly explanate, and posterior margin of pronotum rounded. Propleura shiny and smooth; mesopleura with evaporatorium extended towards margin, and a small groove above opening. Peritreme of metapleura elongate, slightly curved; posterior margin serrated with transverse surface rough. Scutellum. Disc with regularly distributed punctures. Hemelytra. Weakly punctured; lateral margin toothed basally, clavus with three rows of punctures, apical margin of corium entire; hemelytral membrane hyaline, and surpassing apex of abdomen. Abdomen. Shiny, ventrally convex, with short setae laterally. Legs. Fore tibiae with six robust spines on dorsal margin and one on ventral margin near apex; fore femora with a bifid spine mesially on ventral surface, and hind femora with a bifid spine near apex on ventral margin.
