Notes.

Both Erlandsson (1972) and Schembri (1980) record the subspecies Eumenes sareptanus insolatus Müller, 1923 from Malta, a taxon whose distribution includes much of Europe, from France east to Slovakia; the nominate subspecies differs from it by having reddish legs (Gusenleitner 1999).
