Distribution. China (Guizhou, Guangdong, Taiwan).

Remarks. The identity of this species is uncertain. It was described by Matsumura from only female specimens from Taiwan, based only on external characters. Knight (1987) mentioned the species as unknown and included it in his checklist of world species without description, and Webb & Vilbaste (1994) placed it as a species incertae sedis for lack of description of the male genitalia. Although Dai et al. (2004) compared B. botelensis with B. viridinervis based on aedeagal characters, in their key to species they gave no details on the material they examined.
