Zhang Yalin; 1 male, Guangdong Prov., Zengcheng County, 12.xi.2005, Coll. Li Jun (GDEI); 8 males, 9 females, Hainan Prov., Yacheng County, 9.vi.1983, Coll. Zhang Yalin (NWAFU).

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan), New Zealand, New Guinea, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia.

Remarks. This species is similar to B. saltuella, but can be distinguished from the latter by the five longitudinal brown bands on the pronotum and the bifurcated aedeagus apex. This species resembles B. rosea except that the pronotal bands are brown, not orange, and the shape of the aedeagus is different.
