DISTRIBUTION: Karkar Isl (off NE New Guinea) and Rennell Isl (Solomon Isis), south to New Caledonia, east to Cook Isis.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix I; IUCN - Indeterminate.

SYNONYMS: basiliscus, flavicollis, geddiei, heffernani.
