DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to Yemen, south to South Africa; Bioko; Pemba and Zanzibar; Comoro Isis; Aldabra and Amirante Isis (Seychelles); Madagascar.
SYNONYMS: cristatus, elphicki, faini, frater, gatnbianus, hindei, langi, leucogaster, limbata, naivashae, nigri, pusillus, websteri.
