Bifigurataceae Tedersoo .

Description.

Covers the monophyletic group in Endogonomycetes (Fig. 2). Cultured mycelium filamentous, aseptate, coenocytic, 2 μm diam., mucose in appearance, commonly producing budding yeast-like cells; chlamydospores intercalary, 5–10 μm diam., forming on hyphal tips. Phylogenetically delimited by the least inclusive clade covering sequence accessions HM 123225, EUK 1104879, KF 568171 and KF 567389.
