Boydaia cinnyris Fain, 1969
Boydaia cinnyris Fain, 1969: 373, fig. 4, 1971: 98, 102, 109, fig. 12. Holotype in RMCA, examined. Type host: Cinnyris cupreus cupreus (Shaw) ( Passeriformes: Nectariniidae) from Rwanda.
Diagnosis. Hypostome with 2 pairs of setae. Setae ve present. Setae vi situated posterior to level of setae si. Sensillae SEc-type. Agenital and pseudanal series with 2 pairs of setae, each. Number of leg setae: coxae 2–1–1–0, trochanters 1–1–0–0, femora 6–4–3–2, genua 4–4–3–3, tibiae 5–3–3–3. All setae on tibia and genu of leg I similar in shape. In larvae, antaxial and paraxial claw pair of leg I equal and both sharp-ended.
Hosts and distribution. Passeriformes (Nectariniidae): Cinnyris cupreus cupreus (Shaw) (= Cinnyris cuprea septentriOnalis), ChalcOmitra senegalensis lamperti (Reichenow) (= Ch. s. aequatOrialis) both from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Akanyaru] (Fain 1969).
