Boydaia zosteropis Fain, 1963

Type host: Zosterops senegalensis stuhlmanni Reichenow ( Passeriformes: Zosteropidae) from Rwanda.

Diagnosis. Hypostome with 2 pairs of setae. Setae ve present. Setae vi situated posterior to level of setae si. Sensillae SEa-type. Agenital and pseudanal series with 2 pairs of setae, each. Number of leg setae: coxae 2–1–1–1, trochanters 1–1–0–0, femora 6–4–3–2, genua 4–4–3–3, tibiae 5–3–3–3. All setae on genu and tibia of leg I similar in shape. In larvae, antaxial and paraxial claws of leg I long, subequal, and sharp-ended.

Host and distribution. Passeriformes (Zosteropidae): ZOsterOps senegalensis stuhlmanni Reichenow (= Z. s. scOtti) from Rwanda [Eastern Prov., Cyangugu, Rugege forest] (Fain 1963d).

Non-African hosts and distribution. Zosteropidae: ZOsterOps lateralis (Latham) from Australia (Domrow 1969).
