Boydaia (Boydaia) psalidoprocnei, Fain 1971: 100, 109, figs. 26, 27; Pence 1973a: 365. Type host: Psalidoprocne albiceps Sclater ( Passeriformes: Hirundinidae) from Rwanda.
Diagnosis. Hypostome with 2 pairs of setae. Setae ve present. Setae vi situated posterior to level of setae si. Sensillae SEd-type. Agenital and pseudanal series with 2 pairs of setae, each. Number of leg setae: coxae 2–1–2–0, trochanters 1–1–0–0, femora 5–4–3–3, genua 4–4–3–3, tibiae 5–3–3–3. Setae l' on genu I, d and l' on tibia I eggshaped and dissimilar to other setae of respectively podomer. In larvae, antaxial and paraxial claw pair of leg I subequal, antaxial sharp-ended, paraxial blunt-ended.
Host and distribution. Passeriformes (Hirundinidae): PsalidOprOcne albiceps Sclater from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Akanyaru] (Fain 1956b).
Non-African hosts and distribution. Hirundinidae: Riparia riparia (Linnaeus) from Russia (Zabludovskaya 1998) and Ukraine (Zabludovskaya 2012), Tachycineta bicOlOr (Vieillot) from USA (Pence 1973a).
